Keynote Speaker:Dr. Larry Litten, retired Director of Institutional Research at Dartmouth College; co-editor of a volume of New Directions in Institutional Research entitled, “Advancing Sustainability In Higher Education”; presenter and author on the topic of measuring institutional sustainability and IR’s role in this process; and currently serves on the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Advisory Council.

Best Paper: Sean Simone, Research Policy Analyst at the Maryland Independent College and University Association, won the MdAIR Annual Conference Best Paper Award for his presentation entitled, “Sustainability in Enrollments: Competing with Other States for Students.”

Robert Franek MdAIR Research Grant Award

In April 2007, the award was made to Jean Marriott, Carroll Community College; Shannon Smythe Fleishman, Prince George’s Community College; and Ebenezer Kolajo, Cecil Community College for their proposal to examine improving the validity, reliability and response rates of the Maryland Graduate Follow-up Survey.
